After spending a lot of time reading through some of the new 2.4 info on the GIMP site and wanting to kill every living thing within a 50 foot radius, I think I've got the Script-Fu troubles worked out.

What is particularly frustrating is that Script-Fu is really easy, far easier than even the Apophysis scripting language--and I thought that was pretty straightforward. Problems arise, however, when you only have tiny amount of the puzzle to work with. HTML and CSS are very simple, yet I have a 1000+ page book on HTML, W3 and other various internet sources to help me. Script-Fu, on the other hand, has like three tutorials.
So anyway, I'm very relieved.

Well...I'm really behind and feeling under the weather lately. I'm going to try very soon to get caught up with everything. (Hopefully.)
The good news is that GIMP 2.4 has been officially released.
The bad news is that the scripts I had been working on--which run fine in 2.2--don't work.

I'm losing my mind trying to figure out what's wrong. Any help with troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!

I have quite a few watchers so I'm hoping that someone will be able to help.

Not really important, but I have recently created an account at Facebook. You can see my profile here
[link] . Yeah, I know. I still need a picture. Don't have a clue what I'm doing there. I even installed the
dA Facebook Stylish extension in the hopes that a dA interface would help me understand the site better (it sort of helped a little).
I've also had a Last.FM account
[link] for awhile. Not quite sure about the point of having friends, but what the heck, I'll throw it out there.
And, of course, don't forget
Myspace.
Please
note me with any questions you may have regarding my resources (tutorials, CSS, etc.). Comments get lost very easily with the volume my message center receives on a daily basis and there is a good chance I will not see it.
When noting/e-mailing me for help, please
be specific in your initial correspondence. You don't have to be super polite; you can just tell me what help you need and I will see if I can be of use. (Although, don't be outright rude either, please.)
Please be aware that I am not here to teach anyone basic CSS/HTML or Apophysis techniques (that's what my
resources are for). At this point, I can only troubleshoot.
Thanks for understanding!

noun Mathematics, Physics.a geometrical or physical structure having an irregular or fragmented shape at all scales of measurement between a greatest and smallest scale such that certain mathematical or physical properties of the structure, as the perimeter of a curve or the flow rate in a porous medium, behave as if the dimensions of the structure (fractal dimensions) are greater than the spatial dimensions.

Thanks for the update on GIMP *YAY! Scalable brushes without that bogging script
I haven't tried out the scalable brushes yet; been working too hard on those scripts to do anything else. That's actually one of the features I had looked forward to most, since I have relied on my PSE for paintings solely because of the brushes issue.
I finally have the scripting problems worked out, or at least I hope so. I jumped through most of the hurdles. And yes, unfortunately the scripting problems will be yours as well, since most of the old scripts will have to be updated. The ones that used to be housed on the Image menu aren't even there in 2.4, which I found kind of weird that no one updated a few of them, since I found many useful. Maybe the developers will do it for a later release.
