After having one of my wallpapers made into a Blackbox style by ~pitkon and discovering how simple the process can be, I decided to give it a try myself. Now, hopefully everything is in order. :confused: For information on installing styles, see the deviant above.

Included in the file is the original untouched wallpaper-sized version of Spiral Graveyard made with Apophysis 2.03b and the NCS Mutant Spiral Batch script (available on dA).

Screenshot shows the menu of BBLean and a couple of windows from GIMP to show the various active/non-active states. I'm still new to Blackbox, so I don't have too many plug-ins yet, hence the rather open desktop. ^^;

Winamp Classic is easy to skin in terms of everything already being laid out for the skinner as opposed to the XML skins. However, it's much more difficult to skin than Blackbox in the sense that there's not just color, gradient, border options and such. There are just so many teeny buttons to skin with Winamp and the damn alphabet in one of the gen windows always drives me insane and I have to redo it at least twice. Plus, I have to keep redoing everything else because I keep changing my mind on what I want with the skin...

Way less options and stuff with Blackbox. :aww:

I know. It annoys Andrew sometimes that I'm always messing around with the computer. ^^;

It's partly because I hate Windows and Mac, so I'm trying to familiarize myself with various open-source applications like GIMP. The other reason is that we are barely making it by financially, so finding apps like GIMP and Blender (Illustrator clone) are very helpful. It's amazing how the Linux community is so dedicated to their work, considering everything is in essence freeware. I'm hoping at some point soon we can fully switch to Linux, but I need to more about programming before I feel comfortable doing so.
