I made this necklace for my great aunt for Mother's Day. She is very special to me and has taken the role of grandmother since my biological grandparents on my father's side died before I was born. She love irises and always has many of them in her garden.

Supplies: Delicas, Japanese size 11 seed beads and glass pearls with nymo B thread

Peyote Pattern: Felinda Bullock

I would have preferred to do this in purple, but I happened to have a large stock of blue on my hands at the time.

Great work! I've never used this process, but I can imagine the painstaking time it takes.

Actually, it doesn't really take that much time (at least for me). Once you get going, it's quite fast - the only concern is keeping track of what line you're on. Usually, it's the strap that kills me since I tend to use peyote stitch, but for this piece I kept it simple so it wasn't so bad.
